Noticed Honda has changed the wheel bearings on the IZY. They have gone from a pretty decent ball bearing...

 

So bushing only rated to 45mph?

 

Conservative or go 60mph for 10 miles down the motorway  and high chance something bads gonna  happen?

The local engineering shop could sort that out for me.

Seems to depend on the weight but these will be decent at £120+, just noticed Stubby called them indespension units, my dad has always called them that. Trick might be to find some that fit your wheels else you'd be in for wheels and tyres on top.

I've made a few bike trailers with them exact ones. Quick weld up and they're perfect. 
 

Do you need to then sort out with the DVLA or whatever that it is infact towable on the road after adding this kind of suspension? I know probably not very many people would but just a thought.

The cheapo  tyres might have a limited  max  speed ratings also...?

Yes you're not supposed to just knock up trailers nowadays like we used to.

 

Stuart's in France though, bound to be even more paperwork but maybe people don't bother.

Aye I always thought of making my own tipping trailer or high sided trailer for carting logs about as I've done smaller ones before and whether or not they were registered to the dvla I have no clue. 
 

Be mega to make one of those tipping trailers that work off a winch.

 

Edit, a quick look on eBay this morning for tipping trailers and it is mental how much money is in an Ifor!!

Do you guys grease the beam that the splitting head slides up and down with? Not sure if it will get all clogged with bits of bark if I grease it.

You're supposed to, but to be honest horizontal is the best way to use it.

 

Up and down is not fun for any length of time as it's very low to the ground
