Have you considered buying them both and gluing them together? Then when you ran one out of petrol you could flip it over and be straight back into the game?

 

500 is an OK saw,I like the antivibes.  But a bit over hyped performance wise IMHO.

Because a 500 is 39 better than a 461 and a whole 138 better than a 362. ...

Personally I'd go with a 500i. Guy I cut with has one and it is a beast and it's basically a feather compared to a Husky 85.

My 500i has been super reliable. Always starts on 2 pulls, fast cutting, lightweight, well balanced.  Streets ahead of equivalent husky IMO.

I've the 585 and I think it's around about the same category but as for weight the 500 that my friend has is just unreal light.

500i will be wanked out and in the bin within 1-2 years if your using it full time and the 461 still going, only downside is the weight and slight lack of about 2-3cc

Any proof of that? I've had both and longevity of 500i is no different IMO
