Went for ham, smashed garlic tates and a salad like coleslaw! Might miss the beer in the pub too!

Morning all,

Quick local quote then go and see my sister and look at ways of reducing her flood risk. She's been flooded twice now.

Well what can one do?

Bunded boundary, infill suspended floors, bolt down drain covers, bung for downstairs toilets, sump for submersible pump with float switch???

My garage, drive and garden has been flooded numerous times with sewerage water. I darent claim on the insurance as that is then on the record and has to be declared in a sale! A non return valve is prevented from opening if the sewerage pipe is blocked or overcome the water/sewerage from mine and the neighbours then come out the drain and manhole! STWA never admit guilt, have accepted that there is an issue but one chap admitted that the cost benefit ratio means nowt will get done! We got to 5k in damaged goods last year, only for it to happen twice more!
