Morning all,

 

Couple of local woodchip deliveries this morning then more weeding at home. Even better last week, took the woodchip straight from the tree job to the paying woodchip customer. A load of woodchip brings in less money than logs, but far less work.

Been another good week.

 

Got a sofa to collect with the trailer later for my mate's son, otherwise not much planned.

Tomorrow might be a day out on the water as the oh is making kayaking picnic noises again, that'd be nice!

Morning all.

Seems no time since I first picked up William from nursery. His mum (a good friend and my boss at the time) had a meeting go on too long and I went to get him. Was buzzed through the main door and found myself in an 'airlock' between two doors where I was informed I'd stay until they could speak to her and confirm I was meant to take the child. I was there a while, William waving through the window "are we going to the river Doug?", "can we get ice cream". Eventually I was released, got him, then his big sister, then we got ice cream and water pistols and went to the river.

Yesterday he gave me a run in his car, we picked up a sofa with the trailer for his new flat, and he told me about his electrical engineering apprenticeship.

Was one of those days when you realise how much time has got behind you.

 

Kayaking undecided as yet. She's cooking a big breakfast for some friends and we'll see how we feel later.

All done with earlies. Late one today and it'll be roasting before I start.  More sweating....hooray.
