Morning all.

Nice lie in today, have to say I was ready for it, been a busy week at work.

Meeting an old workmate who's come back from NZ for breakfast later, he'd like to see the mining museum so we're off there after. Worryingly I remember the pit when it was open and at one time in my youth I worked with a guy that had previously worked there as a miner. Now it's a museum and it makes me feel bloody old!

Have a good one folks.

Morning All. Going to Charmouth to look at the landslips and pickup a few fossils or bits of dinosaur poo then watching the rugby with my parents!

Morning all.

Good day yesterday at the mining museum, tour given by a 3rd generation miner that worked there most of his days. A wealth of knowledge that made for an interesting afternoon.

Not so sure about the hedgecutter in the car park though.

Feeling lethargic today but there are chores to do.

Have a good one folks.

They left most of the engineering kit in the pits I was told, too expensive to get it out for scrap!

Nice from were I'm looking, good enough for a walk along Stonebarrow this morning!

That's what the guide said, that particular machine never 'worked' underground, it came from a training place for display.
