In that case it will need plugging into Briggs software to check the system..

Hi Jase, just an update…..collected machine back today, turned out to be 2 burned out relays and a fuse. I hired in a 165d for the week, pretty impressive and on next years purchase list 👍 certainly throws the chip to the back of the box.

Well, I sincerely hope that cured matters once and for all but I don't understand how 2 burned relays and a fuse contributed to difficult starting when warm.

Surely, not starting at all with that level of failed parts.

Fuming……it’s exactly the same as when I dropped it off, only I’m £750 shorter with the repair and hire machine 🤯

Sorry, are you saying your machine is still having issues? Is the place you've taken it to setup with Briggs EFI and has the diagnostic kit to plug in?

It’s been taken to a Briggs Efi dealership whom I bought the chipper off so I’m guessing it should have been plugged in, but can’t say for definite. They’ve told me to take it back but I expect that’s more money and another hire machine.

Shaun,

I was led a right royal merry dance by the two idiotic arrogant Efi mechanics that failed to fix a simple V twin Efi.

I tell you now, go visit Ashley at GAGroundcare and leave the machine with him.

I feel your pain so much I'm having to lie down as I'm experiencing flashbacks of anger and frustration.

Mine had the same issues which no dealer could fix and in the end resulted in a new engine thanks to the intervention of Mark at BASCO (Briggs)in the UK.

I suspect the ECU developed a fault.

Why?

Because there was literally nothing else electronic to replace.

On hold to dealership so long I ended up emailing them to say I’m not spending more money or hiring another machine as this issue hasn’t been resolved, 5 hours later……..no reply. “Just bring it” in isn’t really an answer nor an apology. Surely I’m not expected to just keep handing money over week after week 🤔
