Chainsaw boots

Been looking for a higher class chainsaw boot class 2 but did try a 3 hiax protector I think it was but we’re like waders and couldn’t get on with them personally.

been looking at treemee onse from Italy or the pfanner version I think there all made in the same place

Why?

None of them really work anyway.

 

If you bang a 60cc saw at full chat across your instep you will sever your foot.

 

You need to learn not to do that.

You won’t need full chat - I cut through my boot and sock just behind the side of the toecap of a pair of Haix with the saw on overrun and it would have kept going (the boot didn’t stop the chain) if I hadn’t been particularly lucky.
Chainsaw boots only have blocking material in the tongue/down the front centre of the boot it transpires!

The spikes look handy on some steep forestry sites tho 🤔 

I’ve never been convinced saw boots are really worth the money to only really protect the bit covered by you trousers

The spikes would be lethal if treading on anything timber/climbing ladders etc when folded closed though!

You would of thought so? But not with all the effluent being emptied into our rivers? You never know😳
