Can we get back on topic please? I think Mr. Blair has a rhubarb patch to clearfell coming up, I've heard some of the stems have a nasty lean over a newly planted leek trench.

The welly was a nice controlled fell of a large tree with plenty of space around it' date=' I wouldn't say it was a [i']stunt[/i] fell.

 

Well said Nigel. That conny could've so easily wiped out Mrs Miggins Daffodils but landed just short, excellent result mate, must have been nerve wracking for a moment though as you walked around to see what potential carnage there was.

i did notice the two leaves on the daff were bent over (but not snapped) id say it rates quite highly as a stunt fell.

i wasnt fussed about it splitting on impact it was if the back section sat back while i was cutting in, then it becomes a head scratcher lol at least you dont have to cut through that gunk now

This was my best stunt fell, this tree was big, it fitted in with 2-3 foot to spare it took 3 days to clear up, no joke.

 

The pics are a bit crap, the felling cut was a 36" bar on a 66 so you can see the stump was about 45", that was at about 4'up too because of the tight space. Im not saying how little money I had on it but it was embarassingly little, my best stunt fell but my worst pricing cock up.

 

It was about 4 years ago.
