  5. I have had lads with enough paper to wall the vatican but when it came to grounding or climbing they where shhit. I truly belive after 17 years in ,that certain people (male +femail ) make good tree operatives. Some come in thinking they might like this (lumberjacking axe men hugging bollax) job. But 5 times out of ten i find they A want a job B dont want to learn anything C think that health and safety happens to other people. I am soo happy that the lads / gals that get through to work on all of our trees are comited and WANT to work. Im proud of my staff and they love what they do. if the pickys invade see em off with good consistant safe tree work.

  21. I bought a cone splitter head from the states and installed it on the rotator on my timber crane. it works fine and im so far away from the action that its no problem. its good for straight cord upto 15" but the rotator runs out of grunt on anything bigger. im looking for a contractor grade auger rotator to see if i can split bigger stuff.
  22. We did try to engage the driver of the tow car in a discussion on fungal hiphe and the transportation of said between hosts. To our complete suprise he responded with some kind of bizzar hand sighn gestures that neither myself or my crew member could understand. Most perturbing.
