Andy, really glad to hear you got something from the trip, have to say, I didn't think it would be your bag.

So that's another convert then.....?

I don't know if "convert" is the right word........ moreso, a staunch reminder of why i got into the industry in the first place.

I even spent this morning giving my Bonsai their spring treat. :001_smile:

The tree.........

Have to say, like others, I don't think that anywhere near enough came off the tree.

& the climber had the audacity to totally ignore me when I shouted up to him.....FRACTURES !!!

1st & 2nd - before & after.

Apparantly time ran out for the finished picture.

Was good to have finally meet you too, Paul. :thumbup1:

.

Likewise David - except we have met before! Don't worry, I have a forgettable face - comes in handy now and then:biggrin:

I agree with your earlier comment - I think us Arbs should have been more vocal in the group discussion. Ted made several comments about being surrounded by practising professionals, but we were all a bit quiet compared with the older tree enthusiasts!

At times I was a bit confused with all the talk of AHA's and FTB's and many other acronyms used by the National Trust (or NT should I say!) and Natural England.

Good to have some small-scale discussions with other folks though when the main topics got a bit dull. Particularly enjoyed talking to Luke from the Lake District - that guy is a real though provoker.

Looking forward to the next similar event.

Hopefully we'll manage to squeeze in a pint next time too:thumbup:

2 - Our very own Robin whisperer (Mr Hanckock), taking it all in and keeping

a bit of distance between him & the Headmistress (Jill Butler ATF)

3 - Mr Hamadryad (Tony) an affable chap who shares an interest or two.

4 - Roy Finch & David Lonsdale

5 - Ted looking at Daldinia decay

6 - Ted chatting to the At boys.

Luke (Mr "from the lake district :blushing:) rhs of group in the middle

Helen Read in blue fleece to r of tree sign
