Coronet oak......have I done the right thing?

An oak I coronet reduced (is that the correct term?). The LA wanted us to fell it due to a few small structural defects in the crown. I persuaded the TO to let me loose with the 200t.

Tree is on a walkway through a housing estate. No complaints from the public and LA are happy so hoping for more.

nice one graham, i am warming to this stuff, i do work in a big oak woodland, i have felled loads of veterans over the years because of paths ans public access, not often i think its a shame to fell a tree but this year i am going to promote this big time

slightly off topic - just so i don't make a fool of myself when i mention it, how do you pronounce 'coronet'? with the 't' or silent?

Right spec for the right location. :thumbup1:

We have another Coronet job coming up, a huge Oak pollard in a rather ‘urban’ setting. We’re thinking of making a large Oak notice board from our own woodland to explain to the public how and why this type of work is done, maybe even having a small blackboard attached to it so members of the public can chalk-up what wildlife they’ve seen on the tree.
