With 1st hand experience of some of the behind the scenes at an ambulance Trust its so disorganised and nonsensical on many levels.

You've also got a split of crew who do anything to try and have a long wait at hospital so they don't have to go to any other calls and others who hate it.

One big issue is we get sent to many many calls which don't need an ambulance, possibly a GP but things like 111 get freaked out and send one at the drop of a hat.

Should also add the amount of frequent callers is horrendous. If you get to spend time in a call / control centre you'll see the impact this has on staff.

In our region there is over 100 some of which call up to 60 times per day in the hopes they'll get a truck despatched and hurl abuse at the crew or try and get a lift to hospital to meet their mates who are doing the same thing.

In one area they have WhatsApp groups to coordinate.
