It fits with those flower heads and if you ignore the abrasion mark the bark does look like the old stunted laburnum street trees locally, and it is a legume 🙂

I am almost certain that it is not Laburnum , however I can not be sure what it is , Cercis is a good possibility as is Cotinus , but not Laburnum ...I turn quite a lot of Laburnum ( today in fact !!) but the wood and bark not right ....did you not identify the tree before cutting it down ??  As for value , everyone thinks it is worth a fortune except anyone wanting to buy it 😂After further thought the wood looks like Mulberry , the twig pictures are not very helpful though ...
