1) No Tee joint with service opening, outside.at the base (critical)

2)insulated pipe inside building wasted money, and visual disgrace (my opinion)

3)No bracket outside at the base ( critical building regulations breach in EU)

4) NO sealant exist with proper fire rating, proper mastic with fire cement base, will never melt (critical)

5) So i think installer is compromised in my opinion, unless all those things was money saving measures ,and customer agree with that (critical)

As you can see at the last photo, pipe inside the home already crooked up,think why its happening, also the INSTALLER use low heat rated sealant ,he obviously didnt know that even insulated pipe will become very hot at that distance to the stove.

Only noticed that pipes connection direction is wrong (critical) that just crazy.

Have your pipes been installed upside down?

Dead right Mick, they are upside down see Para 1.33 Part J Building Regs. Also connector to stove flue is wonky, would drive me mad looking at it at an angle. Doesn't look to me as if you would be able to remove the stove without dismantling the chimney system which I think means it doesn't comply with building regs but may be wrong on that bit.

To be fair the internal pipe on an angle does drive me nuts.  So are you saying all the piping is upside down? Not sure on building regs up here in Scotland.  Do I need a service opening outside then?

Think I should get a different company in to check the fitting then.

Or go to HETAS - or the Scottish equivalent.  Sure they would be most interested.

Yup. I said this pages ago  ;)

The system is nice, but has (or certainly looks like) it's been installed by a numptie.

Call the installer for an explanation AND REFUND.

Get a second opinion from a certified installer.

Call your insurance because this might all need re-doing + fixing what he messed-up.

Is that window sill material?  And the skirting? Both are possibly too close but especially the sill.

Good spot. I hadn't noticed that. Too busy looking at the flow of goop. Although these tend to have short gap distances from consumables, this does look too close to the sill, skirt and even window glass. Might need to think about putting in a air gapped heat shield box ... if there would even be room for that. After the instal job done on the rest of th system i would have it all checked anyway.
