Need some help with my greenmech arborist 130 brought second hand from a friend worked perfect and then didn’t use it for 6 weeks and then it wouldn’t start. So changed everything filters etc oil and even had battery tested which come back at only working 25% so brought a new one thought that may be the problem. But still won’t start sprayed some wd40 in the starter motor as maybe it had got lazy and still no luck really struggling to source the problem no local greenmech dealers with in 25 miles. Local machinery place said they will look for me but to be honest took endless amounts of tools to them half the time they fix them the other half they don’t work even though they charge me for fixing them. Can anyone help please

As with everything start simple.

Check fuel is getting from the tank to the carburettor, take the hose off if there is a tap or something upstream and make sure it flows

If it is, clean the carburettor.

Solenoid shutoff might have a problem internally or elsewhere, best to ohm meter and see if the switch circuit opens and closes.

Guessing it's a GX630, they do also have a low oil level cut off which would prevent it firing up.

The inline fuel filter on mine is prone to blocking wuth gunk, and is only a fiver to replace.

I have found speaking to tech support at Greenmech the best place to start. Always helpful.
