our bus service is not reliable its a hourly service but quite often dos not turn up

school busses if you live under 2 miles from the school you have to pay for the pass or walk so the parents take them in there cars and it causes grid lock at the school

i know a farmer who is about a mile and a half up a rough track not belonging to him the local authority were obliged to take there kids to school from the farm so they arranged a taxi it only lasted a week because the taxi firm refused to go up the lane because it took so long and damage to the cars so the authority payed them to take the kids to school and bring them home again

Local council spent a week making a new bus stop for the school kids so they weren't standing on mud while waiting for the bus. New tarmac pad on the grass verge, kerb edged, dropped kerb, new sign etc. Took a week of disruption with road closed, long diversions (3 miles) traffic lights etc.

A fortnight later they changed the bus route, doesn't go that way now and kids have to wait on the other road 20 yards away.
