Maybe the streetworks were planned more than a week ago?

I would assume they outsourced the spec to a 3rd party, who surveyed the job, programmed it in and made up the required temporary signs.

I doubt a single person in that time had the inclination to trawl the local Facebook or WhatsApp groups to check the status of the bus service.

Get a spec- meet the spec - get paid.

Or maybe, it's been all over the local press, parish council meetings for months.

The last bus service in the village was done away with last week.7C67A4F1-3149-4A58-A2CD-62137CA46D24.thumb.jpeg.f4dca61d06ab7ac370192de839c7589e.jpeg

Is the point yome making simply that there is no need for a sign to say a bus ain’t coming?

Stand there long enough and it’ll become ‘king obvious the bus ain’t coming.

It’s like having a sign wot says no shagging in the bus stop. 99.9% will get by just fine without a sign telling them not to, especially as it’s see through, but just the odd 0.01% might benefit from a sign…

You fancy APF shag? I’m planning on schlepping up there and having an overnight. We could always get pissed the night before and miss the major part of the show like the Greenmech factory visit.

Yes, there is no bus service, so no need for a sign.

I’m down to Plogs place to do a job for him so will be stopping at the APF on my way, not sure If I’ll be staying over yet.
