2013 transit elec windows

As above, asking for a friend. His passenger window switch never worked when he got the truck. The switch on the drivers side operated it fine. Now that has stopped. He had to wire up the motor direct to the battery to close it!

Drivers window switch works fine.

We have power at the switch, the little led lights up, just cannot get the passenger window to operate on either side.

The relay is fine, I presume this operates the drivers window also.

Any ideas?

Spray wd40 on the window, sometimes they get stuck.

Its not that they are jamming, just not operating!

Does it work if you short the switch/wires on the passenger side?

Maybe so, maybe no. If they don’t move at all it can deceive you.

They've proved it moves by connecting the battery direct to the motor to close the window.

Didnt try and short the switch as wasnt sure which pin did what

Had this on a vauxhall car and it was the wire had broken inside the insulation near the hinge.

The wiring between both door controls were linked before the switch?
