It was a saw that I'd been thinking about for some time for steep bank work where most of the timber was smallish but still had a few good sized ones running through it. As I was taking part in the UK Loggers comp this weekend the saw was to be sent down there and in a great lightbulb moment Mark sent down a freshly ported 572 XP and a used MS 460 for anyone to try. Now that's confidence in your work and I'm happy to say not only was the 550 a little beast but I was so pleased with the 572 that it has followed me home. Mark asked all the right questions re what did you expect from the saw and the quality of work you can see, exhaust work, is very good. Thanks Dave, appreciate the feedback. Hope you enjoy both those saws. Looking forward to your thoughts once they’ve had some tanks through them. You now need to send me that 592 of yours to get it ported and complete the set 😉

@outinthewood putting his C&S Custom Saws ported 550xp to work. The saw was built for more torque so it would pull a bigger bar with ease. The saws running a 20” bar with 3/8 chain. A small saw doing big work. It proves the point of why porting a saw is beneficial.

Hi I've been trying to get intouch with crocky but can't seem to get intouch I've tried Instagram and also on Facebook but can't seem to get any reply could any one point me on right direction to b red able to contact him cheers.

I emailed him a few months ago, as I didn't get a reply I'll find someone else.

Ok thanks for letting me know. I've been looking for people in UK to port saws but haven't had much luck until a came across this guy on the Internet.

Message him on here. He's definitely still active as he's been on here and posted some YouTube, very helpfull when I messaged him 👍 I'm planning to send a 461 up to him at some point.

Just an update. I am still active, currently taking bookings for April.
