Greenmech 130 Engine

Hi everyone after some advice regarding engines on Greenmech Arb130.

Currently got the 23hp Vanguard Briggs & Stratton engine fitted but its starting to die with gaskets going and oil escaping everywhere and being underpowered. The new machines are fitted with the Honda equivalent which are meant to be a lot more reliable and bit gruntier. Anyone done this conversion before? Or does anyone know if a bigger Honda power unit would fit?

Ross.

Cheers PeteB.

Emailed the guys at Greenmech and they say I will need a new wiring loom. Possibly need a new pulley arm too as its on opposite side to the B&S engine? This is all if I can actually get an engine from anywhere!

Not sure if you have any other knowledge of what would be required to do the swap?

Cheers, Ross.

The 23hp Vanguard is as disposable as wet wipes.

It was built with congenital asthma as a feature and no amount of early oil changes can save it from an early death.

Yup. Briggs and scrapem
