which processor??

hi wanting to buy processor,,but am confused with various models,,,Palax?pilkkie?jappa?,,,,then theres sawblade or chainsaw blade,,,,,obviously it depends on percentage of arb or forestry,,generating wood,,,Im,,,a mix 50% of both,,,,,,but happy to buy in,,,,,,any feedback gratefull,,,,,,,

I just bought a secondhand japa, circular saw blade, i was advised they were better than a chainsaw, but at the end of the day it was cost for me, they are like hens teeth secondhand.

agreed sawdust,,been watching for ages,,,and as its quite a moral,,decision,,as always cracked it out with chainsaw and axe,,want to get it right,,,,,sawblade seems to create less waste,,,palax seems cheaper than pilkkie,,,but performance is inportant,,along with quality,,,,thanks guys,,,

Nigel Tonks once told me he went to see a man about some machinery.Whilst there the man said that he would like to show him the biggest lump of scrap he had ever bought.They went around the corner and there was a pilkkie processer.

I can understand that, I have had a love hate relationship with ours for four years. But have come to appreciate its durability and you can repair with little more than hammer welder and grinder. I am sure there are better and much more expensive processors out there but do they come with the excellent back up I have had from Large tree services ?

good point,,back up is inportant,,and if it saves my back,,anything is better that current dilema,,,,,like to hear back from any palax users,,,,,,,(doesnt sound good that?lol)

Just to throw another one in the pot, we've just recently started selling the Farmi processors alomg side the Balfor kit - still early days but we've some introductory prices and they are specced quite well. 30 and 36cm versions, powered in feed trough, slewable elevator (on the new models) and unlike some smaller chainsaw processors, you can be sqwing the next log while the ram is still out.

Not the cheapest but well screwed together.
