Best Oil for chopping board?

I did try searching but chopping brought up chopping blocks/sticks and oil was mostly vehicle related.

So anyway a mahogony chopping board needs sealed.

What is the issue with BLO? I thought to check but it is apparently a no-no for food use.

I have used Tung oil as it is food safe and no petrochemical additives. 
Only downside is that people with nut allergies can react to it (I've been told).

@difflock Looks good when all planed up and everything. I was looking to make a few chopping boards in the next few weeks to try and sell on over FB etc. How much roughly would you charge for the pictured piece? Cheers.

Thank you JD, I have no idea re price, made for the wife to use, and at 44mm thick, with us being either side of 60, it is probably the only 1 that will be needed. It is actually dog rough, finish wise, but since it is a chopping board no particular odds, I merely trued the back to sit level on the worktop. And it might need furthur truing if it warps or twists in the heat/humidity of the house, which is why I was not that bothered in the meantime.

Got its first coat of pure tung oil today.

Nice. What router do you use? I'm looking to buy one. And I'm thinking of buying an electric planer shortly too but not sure how well the hand held ones go. Novice at wood working.

Erm,

I cant remember, but it is only a 1/4" shank one, reasonably good brand though.

Thinking of a thicknessing planer at present too, but kinda perhaps need a decent table saw more.

Ah HATE making decisions.
