Whenever i have had kit LOLERed, there have been one or two items that have been "ok for rescue"

Until now, its been on the odd carab, and perhaps a quick link, but how far can it go? Is it ok to have an out of date, and shabby harness for "rescue purposes only"?

If they've said that to you then that's......Weird. As said above its going to be used to rescue another person surely it should be in as good condition to use as a day to day piece of kit. I would go get it LOLERed somewhere else IMO.

Its a bit like saying "My car has failed its MOT, but I'll use it if I really need to pop to the shops" ha ha!!:001_smile:

Sounds a little bit suspect IMO

Or

"My truck failed the MOT so the NHS are now using it as an ambulance"
