Any advice would be greatly appreciated

as said above timberland glooves are quite good but my pair got mangled during a wet spell but generally there not to bad, as im coming up to my cs30 I thught I would get into the habbit and bought some husky gloves and there very good best by far and should be for 26 quid !!! In my opinion most chainsaw glooves are more of a hazards than PPE

I'd put plenty of thought into the boots that you buy - you're 'using' them all the time. Price is a reasonable indicator of quality but not fit. Some people like the fit of particular makes of boots. As with so many of these kinds of answers - try before you buy.

Good luck with your shopping.

cheers for all the fast replies ppl

trousers and helmets are supplied by the college, so no need to worry bout those for a couple of years.

on the boots side of things, ive been considering the wellie boot style, and lookin to spend under £80 if i can.

havant come across timberland yet, but ill have a look

Thats odd collage provide everything but boots and glooves. what college you from? Ive got acheap pair of haix which I think ae about 100-110? But for me they are fine not had a problem at all just try around walkaround in the shop for a while there not a cheap thing (like most things in this trade) and you wear them all the time.

Not sure if timberland do anything else but glooves havent seen them doing other ppe could be wrong.
