I hesitated before putting this tree in here, but it survived 30yrs of gravel working, land is now reclaimed. Credit must be due to the shovel driver who first thought, "no, I'm not pushing it over".

 

No hesitation required Jack, that is a born survivor and a veteran if ever there was one! amazingly healthy crown given the water/soil regim changes it must have gon through.

 

I suspect its saving grace was being in a gravel seem and having deeply penetrating roots from the start:thumbup1:
