Husqvarna 550xp carb issues

Hi, I need some help fixing my husqvarna 550xp. It starts for a few seconds and then cuts out. I tore it down a bit and the plastic film behind the sprial diaphragm is ripped so I'm assuming that to be the problem. It's a walbro at-12 carb and I cant seem to find the walbro carb kit for the saw. Can anybody tell me what carb kit to get? I'm in Ireland by the way. Thanks in advance.

I think he is tagging someone, so that they get an alert. That someone knows quite a lot about Husqvarna chainsaws.  

 

So I think @Stubby is actually being a lot more useful that a handbrake in a canoe as you put it!

The "Sprial" bit confused me but am now thinking it is the Mk2 spiral affair ....the carb is a Husqvarna specific so you are stuck with purchasing the OEM part for lots of £££ or €€€ if in Eire.

adw is a member on here . He works for Husqvarna  I thought he could help . Would that be a barbed wire canoe ?

It probably is a mk2 however the last mk1 did have this, it was done to increase surface tension and eliminate the nasty flat spot a number of them had.

yea its a mk1. to be honest I was totally confused when i opened the carb up..... Never seen that before. Thanks @spudulike for the parts number, we sure are fortunate to live in a part of the world where youll pay through your nose for parts. Ill havta look into mainland Europe 👍 Thanks for the help guys
