You've adjusted the new carb at low speed and high speed ? Chinese carb ?

Yes chinese carb, £18…. Will these adjustments affect starting ? No idea how to do those adjustments to be fair.

Turn both screws in gently to the stop then out to 1.25 turns and turn the tickover in till you get a start then turn the tickover back out to slow it down till the clutch disengages. You can tweak it after when it's properly warmed up. You might have to remove any restrictors fitted to the carb screws to get the adjustment right.

Ok, take it outside and carefully place it on a concrete surface, measure out approximately 1/4 gallon of e10 fuel, pour the fuel over the top of the machine, now lite a match and ignite the fuel, fan the flames until the whole piece of junk has burnt away, now go out and buy yourself a Husqvarna K770 oil guard machine, sorted.

Quite possibly. Hard to tell from here but it sorta sounds like you might have flooded the thing. A short run, overly rich (too much fuel) might make restarting difficult, especially if you used choke thinking it had cooled a bit. 

Regarding tuning - assuming the Chinese carb has 3 adjustment screws (low speed mixture, high speed mixture and idle speed) and assuming you can get it started again (ref Peatff's post) then try adjusting the low speed mixture screw and remember you can always get back to where you began by screwing it back in and then out to the 1 1/4 turns.

So what you are looking for initially is the highest idle speed. Once you've found that check for good pick up from idle speed with out the saw stumbling / bogging down. Couple of notes:

- small changes (1/8th turn) and pause for a few seconds to let the speed stabilise

-winding screws in (clockwise) reduces fuel flow, out increases fuel flow.

- engine sould run smooth when the fuel mixture is right.

-if you are a long way out (eg close to engine stalling) it will respond immediately to improved fuelling.

 

You've done the hard part,  no harm in having a play.

The Chinese TS410 carbs are better than genuine IMO. Ive swapped at least 30 and never had any problems with them. Their other parts are shite though.

Suppose it depends who makes them.. The chinese are perfectly capable of making very good things, look at their viruses, but they will only make what the buyer is willing to pay for. I had a yamaha motorbike that was made in china, and to be honest, it was the best bike i ever had..
