How thick should I mill for that please? Want to keep my options open..
Might find some more lumps in the pile of felled timber..

Lovely colours in that. Did you do the boards at 40mm for a special purpose? Just wondering. [emoji106]
Not really, because the boards are only 115cm long thought it was better in proportion.
More options with 40mm boards than 25mm?
All new to me. Only bit of hobby[emoji2]

Neighbours asked for a piece to make some knife handles.
I am thinking chopping boards, serving trays, mirror frame/surround. Anything not too complicated.. I am a farm vet, not a carpenter[emoji15]

Nice. Haven’t had a chance to mill up any walnut myself. But it looks great.

Don’t get much where I am.

Good luck with it! [emoji106]

I milled this piece 70mm thick, just in case somebody wants to have a go at carving a gun...
It looks.a piece of art on its own..

All done and put under cover...20210619_140227.jpeg20210619_144341.jpeg

I would say that one isn't gun stock quality. Very nice though.
Careful of the chopping boards and serving platters with nut allergies. Not so much of a problem as gifts and not for sale. Make sure recipetents are aware that it can be an issue though.
