What to do with IBC tote inserts?

I cut mine diagonal and put 1 roof (1/2 ibc) and double stack & cabletie down.  Work great.  the rest cut into squares and use for all sorts eg roof/wall sheets or slot into 1 old ibc and scrap (less volume).  I made a couple of IBC hot tubs for giggles and work well.

its a washing machine drum.  a coil of copper pipe from screwfix.  all in at about £30.   on a summers day, takes all day to get upto 38deg C maybe however on the evening maybe 36ish and falls slightly.  MK11 will be improved by insulating the bottom/sides, twice as long copper coil and raise the bottom up as a tad too deep which will then mean less water so will easily be a sustained 40+ deg and heat up significantly faster.  no pumps just thermal siphon i think its called.  works great.

got all the materials at home. I’ve three sheets of 100mm Kingspan kicking about. That should do the insulating job and a bunch of Larch to mill for the cladding. And we’ve just replaced the washing machine. 🤣

 

Just need to have beans and cabbage for dinner and I’ll be all set.

Lol, wood i burn now doesnt usually smoke however MK11 is on a old caravan chassis so can push/tow anywhere
