Tips please for removing "Small E.clips" from grooved pins?

As above, any tips on removing and replacing ,cursed  small Eclips  without them springing off never to be found again!!!!😒

Wrap a rag round before removing and work blind, without stabbing your hand.

You can get special removal tools. Supposed to be good, might get one to save playing hide and seek with myself too much more.

As  @htb says. Most e clips are in places where you can put something over the top before they go into orbit, even if it’s a digit of yours

 

now if you were asking about piston c clips, that is long explanation 🤔🤫

The term you are looking for is "ping****it".
