Plant trackers

Evening all,

I expect this topic has been discussed before but what with the ever advancing nature of technology i thought i'd ask what plant trackers people are using currently?

I'm looking to install some on chipper and grinder etc in the (hopefully) unlikely event they go walkies...

Thanks

Best by far is Automatrics Mtrack. Check out the videos on youtube. They aren't cheap but worth every penny. They have GPS but also Phone and VHF. If they put it in a shipping container then it can still be found where other units won't get GPS so just be offline. They also do tiny units too so you can hide them. They have been out and found excavator implements that have trackers in

For grinders I found these:

Being battery there are no wires to trace and being VHF still detectable in a shipping container as Paddy says above. Buy 5 years subscription not too bad costwise either.

Didn't buy another grinder though, have gone down the hire route and outsourced the whole problem.

We had an ATV trac tracker fitted to our Kawasaki Mule.  It cost about £380 but has several times warned us if the Mule has been moved when we have just pushed it out of the way without the key in., or when the dealer took it away to be serviced and forgot to put the key in the ignition.

  Recommended by the dealer.
