Phytophthora infected larch value

Hi - I’ve possibly got 300 tonnes of larch to sell, being felled because of phytophthora. It is in Cheshire with decent access - it will be presented roadside to the buyer’s spec. 
I’ve had a couple of offers for biomass - is that ultimately the best market for it?

Should still be desirable as firewood or product if it's of appropriate size/quality. Forestry commission were handing out handling/processing licenses to every man and his dog, so the fact it's confirmed phytophthora infected shouldn't impact the price greatly.

Yeah, it’s licensed to be processed etc.

Speak to Stephen Craig at Pontralis Sawmills. 16cm TDUB at 3.7 or 4.9m long. You arrange the haulage to send it into them. It's a fairly easy gig and they aren't particularly fussy on quality.

If it's straight,..i.e no sweep, clean and sound Charles Ransfords will pay a premium.

As above for sawlogs Irvings at hutton roof, chip wood could be run in to cronspan at Wrexham as it aint that far. Whitfires just south of Preston for chip wood as well which will be made in to sawdust and shavings and there is another sawdust and shaving place in Manchester on Trafford park i think, The nearer it is sold to the job site the better for you,
