Done a couple of days hedgecutting at a local hotel. First day was bitterly cold with snow and rain but today was short sleeves all day.

Great having the little crane to pick sheets from the back side, saved an awful lot of dragging.

Lady owner came out to show her grandkids the tractor, "bring the team to the glass house, I'll have soup served at 1pm". Lovely!

It's nice Gary. Unlike some of these big old places that get tatty through lack of maintenance, it's been in the same family a long time and it's well looked after.

They have Vines in the glass house that they make their own wine with too.

Beautiful glasshouse, very Victorian. Is it original?

Yes Sime, it is. It's quite a selling point for their Weddings and Functions apparently, but not cheap to look after...

Removing flood debris from a bridge today, really enjoyed this job.

Thought the lads were a bit sombre for a while though, just the odd comment, "grim job this" "we shouldn't have to do this" "we'll get counselling".

All became clear when I got this from the boss saying the lads did a good job today, recovering my body from the river.
