BR600 Help

I've just stripping mine down to find the needle bearing connecting rod to crankshaft has broken up.

 Why would this part be so expensive compared to the same for a chainsaw?

For €200 more I can buy a new BR 600 !

This price isn't even the most cheeky I've found either...

£350 inc vat from L&S, Amazon prices are a bit of a lottery for unusual stuff.

 

£250 Inc vat for a 261, so the blower is still more.

Try to get a secondhand one off eBay as the new part is always disproportionately more expensive when compared to a new complete machine.

Its way better to buy the complete engine the time it saves is worth the extra cost. Plus if your piston and cylinder are good you could possibly sell them on or keep them as spares as they cost £300!

Sounds like a decent option and worth giving L&S a call and see if they can do anything on the price especially if you have a bit of a shopping list.

That's a bargain compared to buying just the crank, practically a new blower.
