I bet the fella slipping around trying to push that Gator out was made up being filmed and instructed instead of helped!...

He was young and fit and I am old and tired!  I was actually operating the winch and you can just see the cable and I had to give the order to stop when the winch snagged, so a very important person I was in a very important role!  (he is still speaking to me!)

Slight modification today to improve the turning lock by extending the drawbar on the Arb Trolley.  The Mule tow all is so close to the axle that the handles on the Trolley foul on the tail door of the Mule even in a moderate turn.  This mod also means that I can put longer lengths on the trolley

Another problem surfaced going down this steep and bumpy hill.  The narrow track of the trolley combined with the weight of the logs stacked high made it unstable and it tipped sideways twice.

I intend to solve it by fitting a bar at right angles to the trolley possibly with a couple of small wheels, just like a child’s bicycle stabiliser .  Just needs to be easy to fit and remove

I don't know about money's worth, for if you added up all the money I have spent on woodworking equipment on one side and the savings from using gas and oil and sales on the other hand, I think I would still be in negative equity.

It is just that I enjoy the work and do it for free as it is out doors and healthy.  But if you start to charge my labour £15/hour

then it becomes really expensive.

On the other hand these labour saving tools might help me to stay healthier longer and prevent bad back  ,hips, joints which may take a lot of time and money to sort in the future as well a causing a lot of pain.

I see it has a registration number, what are the rules for driving on road? With trailer less than 750kg?

If it is like ours, it's registered as an agricultural vehicle. You don't want a massive trailer on them - the belt drive does a bit of a sad.

Rob Astley trailers do some nice units for Mules and Quads.

I've already got a small crane trailer and was wondering if it would cope and run short distances on the road with trailer empty.

It seems to easily pull above its weight on some steep grassy slopes with a load and trolley.  on the road it should easily cope and  as Toad says its registered as agricultural and will not go faster than 25mph.
