Went and did a couple of hours on the booked work , bailed out due to high wind and tall (25 metre) thin whippy HorseChestnut thinnings in a garden woodland garden. Climbed 2 and opted out for a day. Done one smashed willow callout now off , when fed and dry to big smashed Oak callout.

Pollarding Willows this morning until the wind really picked up, came down when one tree barber chaired, went to look at fridays Ash TD in Westonbirt village, dropped into Harries local for a pint, home now in time to pick up the youngest.

I'm about an hour south of geneva, in the Grand Massif skiing area. 275km of beautifull piste action, a snug little french hotel, in a village called Samoens, that just happens to have won multi awards for being the prettiest in France:proud::wave:

Ended up going out planting for a while as the list of domestic chores was growing by the minute as I sat here. Took a saw and fuel with me just in case. Absolutely nowt, zilch! Still, got soaked thru, and covered in mud for my troubles, oh well!
