Title sums it up really!

So I had a comedic episode towards back end of last year, involving a punctured Stihl marker paint can in the roof box of my Logbullet. Unfortunately it got rattled about a bit too much and sprung a leak. Obviously being pressured the can promptly spewed its contents all over the machine and my chainsaw. I’ve got most off the saw, but machine is proving a little trickier.

Been having fun removing it, by fun I mean frustration. Used a splash of Aspen on a rag which moved a lot but it’s hellish slow going. I need to get the marker paint off but not the paint on the panels! Any top tips for making it vanish quickly? Or am I just going to have to accept it’s gonna take a while and a good wedge of elbow grease. Wouldn’t have been quite so bad if the orange colours matched! 😆

Only way I could think is what you're already doing. Bit of petrol and time. Anything more aggressive will melt paint like you say... That is gutting. Maybe just call it "anti-theft marking" and call it a day....

Stihls revenge for buying husky ...

To be honest most of it will rub off after a while of being used , a lot Is on the handles etc, and the rest will dull down and get dirt on it.

The other option is to buy another can of spray and finish painting the rest of the saw [emoji23].

That log bullet looks handy. For small scale timber extraction?

It is a shame the machine, saw and pint weren’t all matched! Wouldn’t have mattered overly then!

The stuff on the panels is nearly off, it’s the stuff on the lower section that’s proving tricky to move. I think it’s because it’s pooled and gathered there mainly so it’s a bit thick (like the owner of the Logbullet)

Yeah it’s geared up for first thinnings, unbeatable for the price and performance.

I just looked them up on YouTube. Very capable. What’s the dollar on one of those. I can’t imagine there are many used ones about either.
