some may remember these from last week i gave what i believed a realistic quote and have not got the job one quote was more than double and one was half what do you think was realistic sorry photos not clearer but all trees must be logged and left on site

Hard to get a sense of scale from pics, do you mean just the 2 windblows? I'd say £750-1200 but its so hard to say from a photo.

 

This happens from time to time, I lost out on a big job for a community woodland project recently, the other price was half mine. S**t happens.

 

If you get 100% of the jobs you quote for you're too cheap, less than 70% and you're getting expensive. Stick to that and you'll not go far wrong.

chestnut and lime lime is propped up on stable roof wall this side of stable is a problem and chestnut is unstable and needs a bit of rigging

looking at the photo's which tree would you start with and how would you start to dismantle it?

eg. the one on the left first ?shin up the trunk and take the branches off so lessening the weight while working your way down the trunk reducing the tree as you go?

or starting with a long handled pole pruner from the ground and removing the branches from the top of the tree thereby reducing the weight and stablising the tree before climbing and working your way down from top to bottom again?

like others say hard to see from pics, and when you say logged do you mean to firewood size?

going by what i can see in the pics i'd say about 1k as there looks to be a few targets that could be damaged so care would be needed
