Hi, does anyone have a mobile chainsaw milling capability who can plank a fallen oak (10ft x 2'6") in the Chelmsford area? Thank, Mark

I have a Woodmizer bandsaw. I am based near Dunmow. What is the access like?

Thanks John, access is not great. Drive is long and narrow, but a 7.5tonne truck can get down OK to front of house. There's no rear vehicle access, so it may not be reachable with a Woodmizer.

Would a lucas mill fit. I need about 1m gap but not sure if smaller ones are any narrower

Gates are 2m wide, but need to be approached at an angle. Then need to drive up a short ramp at about 35 degrees.

Hi Jon, thank you for your kind words! I'm not sure what wisdom I can bring, but some interesting things have been going on with elms if nothing else. I will endeavour not to vanish again...
