When i worked on the railway, We had Husky 357's and a similar Jonsered, The Jonsered performed just aswell as the 357 imo, So i wouldnt mind looking at the price of them, Trouble is, I cant remember what model Jonsered it was,

 

 

Anybody got any idea what model Jonsered is comparable to the 357??

I have 2 older jonny red Liam, both run and perform well, there good saws but being that bit older tend to be a bit heavy, i keep em for logging and thats about all. price wise there a bit cheaper than husky. i think the comparison saw would be a 2156 or 2160 turbo. have a look at the jonsered web site, they do a decent top handle aswell but not for the uk market!

Had a quick look, The price isnt that much cheaper really, Think ill stick to the Huskys

 

That top handler looks good tho mate, Would be interesting to know how it performs

Think RB Tree has a J Red top handle which he speaks well of.

I'm sure he discussed it over at MB's Tree house

ive got the jonsered 2165 turbo import, i use it with an 18" bar and it pushes that with ease, i also use it for milling, ive got a 24" bar that i use with it and it still has plenty of go init.

 

it is a bit on the heavy side but if ya just gona use it for tree surgery i wouldnt complain much about the weight but it can be tyring on the arms when i use it for felling down the wood.

its my old faithful saw, it never lets me down, for a saw thats 6years old

jonsered are nice saw used them when i use to live in sweden, They use to call it the farmers saw as it takes alot of abuse.

Cheers guys, I might see if theres a second hand one knocking about somewhere, I dont think i could look past Husky if i was buying brand new to be honest

Ive heard that, Not 100% tho , I guess ive just got my stihl or husky blinkers on
