I store them out of direct sunlight ie. in a shady part of the wood when not in use.

 

They spend most of their life out in the sun full of logs.

Yes, thought about it but four panels would make a heck of a cage and then there's the issue of handling when you want some logs out of it:  just opening up one side could cause an avalanche!  I decided against but did seriously consider trying one for seasoning softwood.

? I meant cutting / bending  up the panels to make smaller cages to put on a pallets !

Would there be enough airflow to the middle of a cage made from four (landscape) heras panels?

For chunks of softwood I was happy to seriously consider it.  I reckon they would have dried OK with a roof.

Academic now - I' not going to try; I'll stick to IBCs.

This is what I wonder. There must be an optimal ratio of (external) surface area to volume for a pile of wood like this.
