What tree have I got here?

Hi folks 

 

just bought a new house and inherited a neglected garden. One gem is this fella, but I have no idea what it is. Google searches have me going round in circles (some type of juniper, maybe...maybe not)?  
 

Really appreciate any help with this.

A heavily topped Macrocarpa perhaps.

Thanks Mick, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I guess ?. I just like the shape. Dried needles everywhere though! Here’s a closeup of the branch, if that helps confirm anything?

I think it's a juniper.
Do the needles smell when you crush them?

I’ll have to check in the morning but they’re certainly fragrant when flames are introduced ?

Definite pine-like fragrance to it
