  1. Hi folks I'm not sure if this is an appropriate topic for this thread, but I’m looking for someone to take a look at a tree that I’d like removed. It’s roots go under my garden wall, it appears to be propped up by a concrete building block, it’s shrouded in ivy and appears to be hollow. I’d also like some advice on a plum tree that has a serious canker and not sure if it’s beyond rescue. I’m in Litherland, L21. Cheers Ben IMG_3249.MOV

    Any ideas?

On second inspection, definitely a cherry.

    Any ideas?

There’s quite a bit of sap oozing out as well.
  4. I’ll have to check in the morning but they’re certainly fragrant when flames are introduced ?

    Any ideas?

according to the previous owners its apple or pear. Either way, it’s looking pretty sad. Strange shape branches and all black and gnarly.
  6. Thanks Mick, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I guess ?. I just like the shape. Dried needles everywhere though! Here’s a closeup of the branch, if that helps confirm anything?
  7. Hi folks just bought a new house and inherited a neglected garden. One gem is this fella, but I have no idea what it is. Google searches have me going round in circles (some type of juniper, maybe...maybe not)? Really appreciate any help with this.
  8. Hi folks, Any idea what’s up with this poor fella? After some fruitless (sorry) Googling, I’m wondering if anyone can help me identify the problem(s) with this? Assuming it’s fungal, hence the post in this group. Appreciate any suggestions to identify and/or deal with this. Cheers Ben
