Never bought a Husky bar other than what a new saw came with, which was usually a 15". I used Oregon pro lite 16's for years, not sure if they're called pro lites now tbh

I think the shorter laminated bars that came with 346 and the like were made by Cadburys .

No Stubby they came from Sarpsborg in Norway, they produced the mowers and the guide bars, i did see quite a few noses fail, the 24" and 28" were Oregon, and the longer solid bars Windsor. Thank you for updating me on the 16" Stubby, that must be a new addition, need to do better.

Whats the most useful lengths and ones for saw sizes?
my 346XP has 15" in 325-5/8. 372XP has 24" 3/8-5/8 atmo thinking of getting the adaptor plate so can run stihl bars on it as my 044 is running 20" 3/8-0.63 and getting a 24" for that.

I wouldnt bother getting a 24 for the 44 unless absolutley essential. My 440 wasnt amazing on 25" much handier on a 20"

044's are ported more stoutly than most 440's from the factory. Some might have a cat. Once removed, it makes a big difference.

Here's mine before I ported it. Just a muffler and timing advance with factory porting and a 24 inch bar in seasoned oak.

yep the BIG DOGS will be chasing the Cat away pretty soon! once arrive along with Duel port can and HD2 filter?

My 372XP went through a log like that yesterday like a rat up a drain pipe! was it cutting fast but think chain might be a bit too aggressive?
