Hi , im currently looking at a small timber job , it's been estimated at 180m3 , looking for a rough estimation in tonnage, it's a mixture of larch Scots pine Sitka, birch and sycamore , so I can price forwarding etc , thanks

Do you have your string handy?

Whom I was doing extraction, spruce was usually approx 1.1 metres to a ton,

larch and Scots pine were about 1 metre to one ton

Great thanks for that , I'll get a rough idea from that , the owners have proposed that we can have the timber in exchange for the work , so should be viable

Hi if and when all this covid-19 is over i would be interested in purchasing some of the timber of you if this job is to go ahead, i sent you a msg with contact number, i have means to self load and haul the timber myself which may be of interest to yourself, roughly where is the job situated i am just south of Lancaster,

Hi Gary, sorry meant to reply earlier , yes I'll let you know when we make a start and timber quality and price etc , we are in west cumbria near ravenglass

I will agree with that 100% we did a job last year on the work instructions it said 110-120 cube in 2 small blocks, when i went to look i thought who added this up has ballsed it up the numbers at the end of the job was more like 250+ cube, Luckily i had bought this timber standing so it all went well for me in the end and when i had submitted weigh tickets for 167 tonne to the powers that be, every one was happy as they got paid for more than expected and i got a few tonne in the yard as well,
