Haven't seen any small blues around our way yet. But nice slow worm pic. 

 

Swallows and terns been turning up at our pond. Good sign that summer is on its way I reckon.

Female orange tip I believe.

Looks like female large white to me, nectaring not laying on garlic mustard (dark spots on wings)

The small blue looks most  likely to be a holly blue but can't be sure without seeing the underside

 

The slow-worm is the finest creature on the planet in my book

My son works in ecology also,he did his uni dissertation on slow worms,he,s fanatical about them

Good deal! Just bought one from Amazon for 48p. Had bought the collins British Insects guide which is pretty useful but wanted a specific butterfly book too. Thanks for the hint.
