job i started today felling some other trees on the site i was asked to give ideas and quote for this old avenue of lime pollards they are variying in different states of health.

my overal view is they need repollarding before they start to collapse as some all ready have but i dont wanna kill them any ideas welcome...!

thats the prob the customer doesnt wanna lose the end 2 .......im thinking maybe re pollard the others and leave them to get more light then when and if they recover do them then.

I'm in agreement with the incremental removal of the conopy. I'd also look at replanting some decent sized replacements to pollard and try and cover the eventuality of some of the worst dieing
