hi all, a happy and prosperous new year to all.

had a box fitted behind the cab of the pikey bus over the break, and can now fit most of my gear inside

however, what do all you tranny / ldv/ etc owners do with the pole saw :confused1:

at present i'm putting it on the back, buts its not secure, and it'll get damaged sooner rather than later

thanks for your help

dave

i'll put some pics on soon

lol

Long live fiberglass rods. You can go higher than any thing else, and practice your big game fishing at the same time !!

Back on topic by a bigger van that the pole saw will fit in. Simple ehh

:laugh1: verry good , one of the guys that used to work for me thought it would be a good idea to put 6 poles togeter with the hook head on and try to retrieve an ms 200 from a climber in the tree to fill up - this resulted in him being launched over a garden fence narrowly missin a sudden drop into a primary school playground .

looking back at it i think it would have been the best thing that could have happened to him , well other than breaking his scrawney little neck lol

the fibreglass poles should dismantle down to fit in your box, assumming its a full lenght box. if not, weve got a box welded to the body on one side, so you drop the sidegate and hey presto! theres a box the full lenght of the van, easily long enough for poles, ht's, signs etc. when you lift it back up it just looks like part of the van james bond stylee! from the outside you cant tell its there!

sorry my fault for not being clear enough.

its a stihl polesaw HL75 ( i think ).

about 10' long.

everything goes in the container at night. just thinking about when i have to leave the van during the day.

got a roof rack to fit, so it'll go on that with a padlock thru the harness eye.

not ideal but it'll do for now
