i am doing it this year. £5 a tree, money going to the childrens trust. A great way for some local pr and going to a great cause. Teach the younger generation about recycling.

For at least the last 5 years we've chipped thousands of trees for free, seems to go on for weeks on end.

 

 

We should charge and do something similar to yourself.

I think someone posted last year that they had no work so sat outside B+Q with a sign written truck and chipper and recycled xmas tree's and handed out fliers at the same time. Generated a fair bit of work if I remember right.

i have done it for years, but the school wants too much money to rent the playground, that we used to do it in. So i have just stuck something on my facebook page and i will put something in the local paper, hopefully they will do the advert for free but i wouldnt hold my breath:sneaky2:

i was told buy a local NPTC instructor/assessor that yu were not allowed/meant to chip christmas trees he wass saying that thery give off either a fine dust or vapor that is bad for your health , has anyone elts heard of this ?? i would have thought that if ths was the case then we would not be allowed to chip london plane branches in the summer either .

any way well done steve glad to hear your doing your bit for charity and recycleing . who knows you may even get some cordwood to keep from some of the bigger trees lol

i do it for the scouts every year

usually about 3-400

min donation £4

but we collect them
