Found this in the shed when I was having a clear out, anyone ever used one? It looks like it might be quite flimsy as the main hinge bolt is snapped. I'm guessing it was either very expensive when new or not much use as this is the only one I've ever seen?

It's very light and the shaft is made out of alloy. I will try and find a bolt that fits it and try it out in the new year when I get back to the felling.

A interesting bit of gear, like a geared type action for a want of a better description, starts to lift then as it's going the hinge allows a further "push". Don't remember seeing one and perhaps a bit like the "felling bag" that Husqvarna did some years ago that plugged into the cyl and used the cyl pressure to lift the tree which was not the longest lasting extra...

That is the Husqvarna double action felling lever, great tool, i still have one, i also have 254FG, heated hanles and felling cushion, like all things they have there limitations, there was a converted 281xp with a much larger bag for the fire brigade to test,

No not a 268. there was 444FG, 154, 254 and a 162, the Forestry Commission took most of them, another good idea that never caught on, issues with the valve and the pipe filling with carbon, bit like the 262 micro prossesor.

To get an idea of the dimensions, how long is the handle?
